A happy, healthier you (in just 14 days!)
‘As a naturopath and detox specialist, I see Aussies from all walks of life: parents, celebrities, professionals, retirees, bohemians and sportsmen. What do they all have in common? They all want to look and feel their absolute best, and to live longer, side-step disease, have more energy, foster better relationships and eliminate stress,’ she says.
Not content with founding her popular organic detox spa, The Last Resort (which is frequented by none other than Miranda Kerr herself), Miller has now decided to share her secrets to achieving the vibrant, healthy and sexy physique synonymous with Australia in a new book: Aussie Body Diet & Detox Plan (Penguin, RRP $35.00). Introducing the ‘Seven Aussie Body Lifestyle Secrets’, Miller outlines an easy-to-follow 14 day program that will leave you looking and feeling better than ever.
So what are the secrets to the bright eyes, clear skin, flat stomachs and mega-watt smiles of the Australian superstars we look up to?
‘True health and optimal wellbeing begins when you relax, let go of baggage, nourish your body and enjoy your precious life,’ says Miller. ‘When you allow yourself to be the best you can be.’ To that end, the lifestyle secrets she reveals are both simple and easy to implement and, where you might be expecting the thrust to be on your diet, the opposite is true. Getting back to nature, steering your thoughts in a positive direction and soaking up the sunlight are just as important to Miller in the quest for the Aussie Body.
Whilst the book contains recipes and ideas to see you through your very own 14 day detox plan, Miller points out that looking good is about more than your diet. ‘We have moved away from diets, counting calories, portion contro, only eating protein or the low-carb fad,’ she says. ‘It’s about looking good, feeling great and living a longer, more abundant life. It is about realising your true potential and understanding that optimum health and wellbeing has to encompass your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states.’
